Many businesses across the world are standardizing on Act-On Software's integrated online marketing platform.

Its highly intuitive user interface is appreciated by enterprises that are recognizing it as the foundation for their successful business growth strategies.

Act-On Software's integrated online marketing platform features innovative rapid implementation technology that enables the adoption of advanced marketing automation technologies by smaller marketing teams.

The company claims this adoption does not require dedicated database, process analysis or IT staff.

Headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, Act-On Software is privately held and was founded by Raghu Raghavan, a graduate of IIT Bombay who later secured a PhD from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

The Act-On marketing platform is built around a 3rd generation email marketing system, and features forms, landing pages, drip programs, social media prospecting, webinar management and the ability to automate critical marketing tasks.

This platform, says the company, has the ability to generate analytics in real-time for multi-channel online marketing campaigns. Because it features an adaptive behavioral scoring capability and a deep integration with CRM systems, it ensures that the most promising, sales-ready leads reach the sales representatives.

According to, networking specialist Cisco (News - Alert) provided Act-On Software the much required initial financial backing.

This financial support helped propel the company to success and since then the company attracted venture capital funding from US Venture Partners, Voyager Capital and Trinity Ventures.

Act-On Software now has 500 customers and is set to have more than 700 customers by the end of 2011.
