Many companies rely on lead management software to enable sales representatives to contact promising leads, both to develop relationships and also to generate revenue.

Organizations that utilize VanillaSoft’s CRM-Lead Management Platform will soon be able to sync their VanillaSoft calendars with their Google (News - Alert) Calendars. Within the appointment module, VanillaSoft users can populate new appointments to Google and keep their VanillaSoft calendars up-to-date with their latest availability.

“More and more organizations are taking advantage of Google's robust calendaring,” said the late VanillaSoft president Ken Murray (News - Alert) in June. “Providing a seamless sync will only enhance the VanillaSoft offering.”

Outlook users can also sync with Google and VanillaSoft calendars. Google Calendars and VanillaSoft Calendars will sync automatically.

Other improvements to the software include the ability to specify your own e-mail server, to use VanillaSoft’s e-mail platform or to use another e-mail platform such as Outlook.

The Lead Management Platform features “cradle-to-grave” lead tracking as well as customizable lead routing. In addition to offering a LinkedIn (News - Alert) profile widget, the software enables instant web lead distribution that powers team-based lead selling.

Users of the VanillaSoft CRM platform can sell to multiple contacts within a single corporation. The real-time business intelligence dashboard enables tracking of sales activities, lead source performance and stack rankings of the sales team. Advanced project management capabilities allow the software to be configured and customized according to the needs of the business.

Overall, VanillaSoft users enjoy e-mail marketing, auto-dialing, call recording, branch scripting, real-time sales management and an appointment setting module. The company claims to increase productivity of staff by 40 percent, although it did not specify a method for measuring productivity.

VanillaSoft named David Hood its president after former president Ken Murray passed away after a stroke. Hood is a software developer and entrepreneur who has experience in finance, business development, marketing and sales management.

VanillaSoft clients include both SMBs and Fortune-500 companies.
