Lead Generation Resolutions for the New Year

Many business owners start a new year with big aspirations and high hopes for their sales and marketing goals, and whether you’ve had a successful year or a disappointing one, resolving to meet your goals isn’t a bad place to start. But unlike typical resolutions, be sure to stay the course with your promises and aim to meet your objectives. If your eye is on sales, then it’s time to get serious about lead generation and the tools to procure your leads.

Review and update your contacts.

Maybe you’ve accumulated a lot of names, but those names won’t do you any good if they’re not solid leads. Qualifying is all about gathering insights necessary to make a good judgment. Should you sell to a given prospect? What is the best course of action to close a deal? Is this prospect a good fit for your offer? Is it a viable sales opportunity? Consider software to help qualify your leads; get better profiles, find out the customer’s needs, find out about the competition. Consider it your resolution to get better qualified leads.

Be social.

Maybe you’ve only dipped your toes in the social media waters, but make it a goal that in 2016, you plan to take it a little more seriously. Social media is not new to B2B. In fact, it’s human to human. There are no better ways to connect with a prospective client than getting on the human level. Start the conversations online. You may be surprised what you get.

Telemarketing. It’s not a legacy tactic.

While it might seem counter-productive to get on the horn when social media is all the buzz, the truth of the matter is, telemarketing is still a tried and true method of garnering leads. When it comes to telemarketing specifically, software tools allow companies to be more efficient when calling prospective clients and leads. The right telemarketing software can be a useful tool to maximize sales, especially around this time of year when the holidays offer the perfect time to ramp up sales and hit the ground running in the New Year.

The primary advantage of telemarketing is that it leads to immediate answers. The conversation starts right away and it is easier for the sales person to explain the features of products and services right away. The customer can also get their queries solved immediately and this may result in instant sales.

Telemarketing involves two-way communications; this makes the relationship with the customers more personal and interactive. This also strengthens customer loyalty and improves the image of the brand name of the company.

Solutions like VanillaSoft telemarketing software are designed to increase revenue. Managers can track every lead from beginning to end and see an increase in client outbound calls.

Getting sales requires good salespeople. Getting leads requires some hard work and solid goals. What are your lead generation resolutions for the New Year?
