Telemarketing Software: Britain's Cocentric Sparking Hosted Business Software Interest in UK

March 24, 2011

Britain has just witnessed the launch of what its developers are saying is the country’s first hosted business software “designed specifically for small to medium sized enterprises.”

That’s Cocentric, developed by Cheshire based Triangle Software, which says the release has “sparked a wave of interest from entrepreneurs around the U.K. and further afield... Business owners from towns and cities across the country, one from South Africa and several from the USA are now trialing Cocentric.”

Trial versions of Cocentric are “regularly downloaded” from the company’s site, by “businesses across the country,” company officials noted.

We’re not sure what exactly would differentiate a specifically British method of hosting business software, the beauty of the business model is that it’s almost instantly applicable anywhere, maybe it has auto-reminders for David Beckham’s birthday, but if it’s introducing the U.K. market to the benefits of the technology, then well done, lads, down to the pub for a pint.

Triangle MD Tim Thomas-Peter believes Cocentric’s affordability, along with its sophistication, makes it “a compelling option for business owners struggling to keep down costs in a tough economic climate. The interest being shown already is very encouraging,” he said.

Thomas-Peter said the challenging economy “is leading business owners to look for ways of improving their operational performance while at the same time reducing costs. And they are recognizing that the right business software can help them to achieve these aims.”

The tool is pitched along the usual lines for such offerings, touting its ability to give users the ability to “manage customers, suppliers, staff, sales and purchasing more efficiently,” help business owners “track marketing campaigns, manage sales and measure profitability on each job.”

It’s been “a flying start for Cocentric,” Thomas-Peter said. “We were pleasantly surprised to see our software is now being considered by organizations from overseas.
