The Sales Lead Management Association, in conjunction with CartoonLink will be issuing cartoons about lead management sponsored by various lead management software companies in the industry including VanillaSoft.

The first cartoon is already available on the SLMA home page, and features VanillaSoft’s co-sponsored cartoon with PointClear titled “Bigger Box.” James Obermayer, CEO of the SLMA, and Stu Heinecke of CartoonLink have been working together to release cartoons that gently mock the sales tactics of those companies that may be “behind the times,” concerning the latest developments in lead management tactics.

Heinecke is a well known cartoonist whose artistry can be seen in The Wall Street Journal, as well as other respected publications. As the president and founder of CartoonLink, Heinecke’s art is known for cleverly conveying powerful messages through single images with captions.

Heinecke will be contributing editorially to the SLMA in the form of cartoons, appearing twice a month on the SLMA home page, the SLMA’s newsletter, and its blog. His new book, Drawing Attention, heavily features cartoons used in sales and marketing.

His past work, in conjunction with those cartoons of his colleagues in the industry, including artists for The New Yorker, has made significant marketing inroads for big-name companies using cartoons. Some of bigger clients have included AT&T (News - Alert), the NBA, and the NHL.

Offering sponsorship for Heinecke’s lead management cartoons, the SLMA is planning on issuing more featuring telemarketing, marketing automation, and CRM.
