To get the call periods feature up and running, within the telemarketing software go to the tab titled, “Project Details.” There, you can designate the exact hours when a contact can begin receiving calls and when these calls need to stop. VanillaSoft has the ability to determine the contact’s local time based on their area code, yet toll free numbers can always be routed to as they are not based on time frames due to the fact that they can be located anywhere. For an even higher level of control, users can select to leverage the location button that enables you to set up exceptions to your default calling period.

In a recent interview with TMCnet it was revealed that telemarketing software has continued to gain users because it has adapted with the changing times. In spite of current trends not making the telemarketing software space obsolete, they are instead changing the types of calling campaigns being carried out. While the 1990’s and early 2000’s are highlighted as utilizing ‘traditional’ types of marketing approaches including predictive dialers to contact many people in a very short period of time, today, leads are becoming more valuable and technology is enabling higher-level sales people to sell from a distance.
